FOOTBALL
PATHWAY
Hampton Rovers Football Club is proud to offer a
one-club environment. Unlike the majority of footy clubs
where the juniors and seniors are split, we believe it's
a major strength that our Auskick, Juniors and Seniors come
under one banner, offering players a streamlined pathway
from junior footy through to seniors and beyond.
Hampton Rovers
Football Club has an official affiliation with the Sandringham Zebras (VFL) and strong links with the Sandringham Dragons (TAC Cup
U/18), providing players
with a pathway to the top. Furthermore, the club has historically had strong representation in both junior (SMJFL)
and senior (VAFA) representative teams. In recent times the Rovers has had a number of players drafted to the AFL with Christian Salem, Karl Amon & Jayden Hunt picked up in 2013 while Angus Brayshaw & Brayden Maynard are set to be picked at the 2014 AFL Draft, joining other ex-Rovers already in the AFL system including Chris Dawes, Ted Richards & Ty Vickery.
In 2013, the
club introduced the Rovers Football Academy - held
during the school holidays by senior coaching staff with
a wealth of experience and key senior players, providing
junior players the opportunity further their skills and
learn about senior football. This program continued in 2014 and is offered to all junior players at
the club.
Whether you
simply want to play footy for fun, or you're an aspiring
AFL footballer, Hampton Rovers Football Club is the
club to play at.
